Pet Policy - Updated 2020

We, at Single Island Shores love our furry friends, having a number of them ourselves, and therefore, we understand that many guests would like to bring their four-legged companions with them. Still taking into account that many of our guests bring small children and many others have a fear of dogs, we have decided to allow SMALL DOGS ONLY with a weight limit restriction of 30 pounds or less to stay on our property. This exception is restricted to the following select cottages only: Our Single-bedroom, Upper LakeView cottages (#’s 14, 15, & 16)

Please Note: In consideration of other guests’ & staff members’ allergies, we still Do Not allow any cats. If any cat, large dog, or unapproved small dog are found within a non-pet friendly cottage, you will forfeit the remainder of your stay at full cost PLUS our Pet Fee, and if necessary, you will be escorted off our property.

For your small dog to stay with us, they must be 30 pounds or less, they must be at least 9 months old, and they must be fully-house trained. You must contact us directly to check availability of our select, few pet-friendly cottages, provide us with an up-to-date immunization record from your veterinarian, and receive prior approval for bringing a small dog. We Do Not Allow any Pit Bulls, Chows, Dobermans, German Shepherds, or Rottweilers, regardless of size, age, or training.

As always, any and all service animals are welcome at our property. Proper paperwork is also required for service animals to stay at Single Island Shores. If you’re bringing a trained, certified, and licensed service animal, in accordance with ADA and non-discrimination laws, there will be no charge added to your bill. If you’re bringing a small dog to stay with you, there is a $50.00 per night pet fee that will be added to the nightly rate for your cottage plus tax. Note: Owners of therapy &/or emotional support dogs, that do not have service animal level certification will receive the $50.00/night pet fee. Any damages caused by your pet (stains, scratches, bite marks, etc.) found within your cottage will be charged a flat repair fee of $200.00

Campfire / Grill Usage

All campfires are restricted to the designated fire pit areas throughout the property. Additional campfires outside of these fire pits is strictly prohibited. Gas Grills and tanks are provided for communal use between our Lakeside and Lakefront cottage guests. Grills are positioned specifically to be within our local fire code and for the safety of all our guests. Guests are not permitted to use their own portable grills within the cottages or on the cottage decks. Guests staying in our Upper Lakeview and Lakeview Single-bedrooms may bring their own portable grill for use in the stone parking area next to your cottage only.

Alcohol Policy

Single Island Shores does not serve alcoholic beverages. Wine Glasses and corkscrews are available if you choose to enjoy a bottle of wine that you have purchased from one of our local wineries. We ask that our guests drink responsibly and take into consideration our other guests. Enjoy!
